Pulled Pork Sliders

Pulled Pork Sliders feature tender slow-cooked pork butt simmered in a tangy, sweet, and smoky sauce made from ketchup, cider vinegar, brown sugar, tomato paste, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. This filling is shredded and piled into toasted slider buns, complemented by pickles for a flavorful bite suitable for casual meals or gatherings.

Description

This recipe uses pork butt pieces slow-cooked in a mixture including ketchup, cider vinegar, brown sugar, tomato paste, sweet paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper for 8 hours on low heat. The long cooking time breaks down connective tissue, rendering the pork tender enough to shred easily with forks. The sauce cooks with the meat, imparting a balanced blend of tanginess, sweetness, and spice.

Once shredded, the pork is served on toasted slider buns, often accompanied by pickles to provide a crisp, acidic counterpoint to the rich meat. The dish works well for casual meals, parties, or as a handheld main course. Chips and fresh veggies make suitable side dishes.

To finish, the pork should be shredded directly into the sauce for maximum flavor retention. Toasting buns adds texture and prevents sogginess. This recipe yields enough for about a dozen sliders, making it practical for sharing.
