Quick and Easy Brownie Recipe

This brownie recipe creates fudgy, chocolate-packed brownies using a mix of granulated and brown sugar, Dutch-processed cocoa powder, and melted butter. The batter includes eggs and vanilla for moisture and flavor, with chocolate chips folded in for extra richness. Baking time controls the texture, offering soft or firmer brownies depending on preference.

Description

The recipe starts by melting butter, then combining it with both granulated and brown sugar and vanilla extract, which provides sweetness and depth. Eggs are incorporated one at a time to ensure even mixing. Dry ingredients—flour and cocoa powder—are folded in last, followed by chocolate chips or chunks for pockets of melted chocolate.

Baking in an 8x8 pan coated with nonstick spray and parchment allows for even cooking. The shorter baking time produces a soft, fudgy texture, while a longer bake yields firmer brownies. Cooling before slicing helps the brownies set without crumbling.

The notes mention doubling the recipe for a larger 9x13 pan and emphasize using room temperature ingredients for better texture. Avoiding overbaking is key to maintaining fudginess. A whisk, hand mixer, or stand mixer can be used for mixing, offering flexibility.
