Southern grits are the perfect breakfast (or lunch or dinner!) option. They are the creamiest and most delicious addition to your morning meal, and everyone in your family will be able to make these. They are that easy!

Ingredients
- 6 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups grits
- 1/4 cup butter
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot boil the water and salt. Add in the grits and stir.
- Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid for 5-6 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Add in the butter and stir until it melts.
- Season with salt and pepper to desired taste. Serve warm.
