Quick & Easy Walking Tacos Recipe

Report
Walking Tacos combines seasoned ground beef cooked with taco seasoning and salsa served directly in single-serve Doritos bags. Crushing the chips inside the bag before adding the meat and toppings creates a convenient handheld meal. Optional toppings include shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheese, onion, beans, and sour cream, allowing customization. This casual preparation is practical for parties, outdoor events, or quick meals.

Description

The recipe starts by browning ground beef in a skillet, breaking it up and draining excess grease. Taco seasoning and salsa are stirred in, then simmered to meld flavors. For serving, the top of a Doritos bag is cut open after gently crushing the chips inside. The warmed taco meat is then spooned into the bag along with any combination of lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion, beans, and sour cream. The components are stirred together in the bag when eating.

This approach transforms individual bags of tortilla chips into portable taco servings without the need for shells or plates. It also allows people to customize their own toppings. The recipe provides a way to enjoy taco flavors in a casual and easy-to-handle format.
