Raspberry Cheesecake Dessert Pizza

This raspberry cheesecake dessert pizza features a soft yeast dough crust topped with a creamy sweetened cream cheese layer, swirled with raspberry jam, and sprinkled with white chocolate chips. A buttery vanilla streusel crumb topping adds a crunchy contrast after baking. The combination balances sweet and tangy flavors with soft, creamy, and crumbly textures.

Description

The crust is a yeast-raised dough made from flour, instant yeast, salt, and warm water, kneaded until elastic and rolled out to form the pizza base. The creamy topping combines softened cream cheese with sugar and vanilla extract, spread evenly over the crust. Raspberry jam dolloped and swirled on introduces a tart fruitiness, complemented by white chocolate chips scattered on top. The streusel, made from butter, vanilla, flour, granulated and light brown sugar, provides a sweet, crisp layer when baked.

After assembling, the pizza bakes at 450°F, allowing the crust to puff slightly and the topping to meld and brown. This dessert pizza is an unusual but approachable sweet treat that combines familiar flavors and textures in a novel presentation.

The included note explains how to prepare homemade raspberry jam, which can be chilled and used within three days. The dough benefits from kneading to develop gluten for structure and rolling carefully to maintain shape. This dessert suits parties, casual gatherings, or whenever a fruit and cream cheese sweet is desired.

Ingredients

Servings

Crust

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon instant yeast
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • cup water warm

Sauce/Topping

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened (or warmed in the microwave until just soft enough to stir)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup raspberry jam see note to make at home
  • ¼ cup white chocolate chips

Streusel

  • 3 Tablespoons butter melted, salted
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon light brown sugar firmly packed

Instructions

Crust

  1. Preheat oven to 450F (230C) and line a pizza pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Combine flour, instant yeast, and salt in a large mixing bowl and stir to combine. Add water and stir until ingredients are clinging together and dough forms a ball, then turn dough out onto a clean, lightly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes/until smooth/elastic.
  3. Use a rolling pin to roll dough out to a 10-12” circle and transfer to your pizza pan. Fold over the edges of the dough to form a thin crust.

Sauce/Topping

  1. Combine softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl and stir until smooth, creamy, and completely combined. Spread evenly over pizza crust.
  2. If your jam is too thick to be easily stirred with a spoon, pop it in the microwave and heat in 5-second intervals until it’s easy to stir. Dollop jam evenly over the “sauce” and use a toothpick to swirl over the crust.
  3. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top and prepare your streusel.

Streusel

  1. Stir vanilla extract into melted butter. In a separate bowl, stir together flour and sugars. Add the butter mixture and use a fork to toss/claw the ingredients together until your mixture forms clumps and resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Sprinkle streusel evenly over pizza. Transfer pizza to 450F (230C) oven and bake for 13-14 minutes or until streusel begins to turn golden brown.
  3. Remove from oven, allow to cool for several minutes, then slice and serve warm (though leftovers are good cold, too!).

Notes

  • Homemade raspberry jam can be made by cooking raspberries with sugar and water until softened and juiced, then cooling before use.
  • Jam stores up to 3 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Roll the dough to an even thickness for uniform baking.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly before adding jam and toppings to ensure balanced flavor across the pizza.
