Red Velvet Brownies with Cream Cheese Frosting

Red Velvet Brownies with Cream Cheese Frosting blend the dense, chocolaty texture of classic brownies with a vibrant red color and smooth cream cheese topping. The recipe combines melted bittersweet chocolate and butter with sugar and eggs, then adds red food coloring and vanilla for a deep red hue and rich flavor. After baking, the brownies are cooled and topped with a creamy frosting made from softened cream cheese and butter, sweetened with powdered sugar and flavored with vanilla extract.

Description

These Red Velvet Brownies start with melting bittersweet chocolate and unsalted butter, creating a rich base for the batter. Granulated sugar and eggs are whisked separately before being combined with the chocolate mixture. All-purpose flour, red food coloring, baking powder, and vanilla extract are folded in, yielding a batter with a characteristic red hue and deep chocolate flavor enhanced by the food coloring. The batter is poured into a parchment-lined pan and baked until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.

Once cooled, the brownies receive a cream cheese frosting made by beating softened cream cheese and butter until smooth, then adding powdered sugar and vanilla extract. This frosting adds a tangy sweetness that complements the dense, fudgy texture of the red velvet brownies.

These brownies are suitable for serving as a dessert or special snack, offering a visually appealing and indulgent treat. The recipe calls for precise baking time to maintain moistness while ensuring doneness.
