Reheat Fries In Air Fryer

This recipe explains how to reheat leftover French fries in an air fryer to restore their crispiness. The method involves seasoning with sea salt and spraying with extra virgin olive oil before air frying in two stages at different temperatures. The result is fries that regain a crisp texture and are piping hot, making them an appealing way to enjoy leftovers without sogginess.

Description

Reheating French fries in an air fryer is an effective way to revive their texture and flavor. This technique uses two air frying intervals: first at 180°C (360°F) for 6 minutes, then after shaking and adding a little more oil, at 200°C (400°F) for 4 minutes. The fries are seasoned with sea salt before cooking and sprayed with extra virgin olive oil to promote crispness. This gradual reheating ensures the fries are hot and have a crispy exterior without becoming dry or burnt. The recipe suggests adding cheese during the process if cheesy fries are desired, with a further brief air fry to melt the cheese.

This reheating method is useful when you want to enjoy fries that have been refrigerated, as cold fries tend to lose their saltiness and texture. The use of sea salt and olive oil helps compensate for flavor lost in refrigeration and ensures a satisfying reheated fry.

The recipe also notes that frozen fries should not be reheated this way but cooked using a recipe designed for frozen fries to ensure proper texture and doneness.
