Reheat Steak In Air Fryer

Reheating cooked steak in an air fryer preserves moisture and texture by using a moderate temperature and turning the steak during cooking. Spraying olive oil on the steak helps prevent drying out. This method works for various cuts like sirloin, fillet, and T-bone, restoring warmth evenly without overcooking.

Description

This recipe outlines reheating leftover cooked steaks in an air fryer set at 160°C (320°F). The steak is placed in the air fryer basket sprayed with a light coating of extra virgin olive oil to protect against moisture loss. Air frying for 6 minutes with a turn halfway allows the steak to warm through gently and evenly.

The relatively low temperature avoids drying the steak or toughening the meat as higher heat would. Spraying oil prevents surfaces from drying out and enhances juiciness. Adjust the timing slightly for steak chunks or thinner slices; 4 minutes per side is recommended for smaller pieces.

This technique provides an efficient way to enjoy reheated steak without the dryness common in microwave or pan reheating. It is suitable for different steak cuts and thicknesses. Users should consider their air fryer model's characteristics and adjust as necessary. The method is best for steaks already cooked to preferred doneness.

Using moderate heat and light oil ensures the steak retains some juiciness and flavor upon reheating. This method is convenient for quick meal preparation with leftovers.

  2. Place the leftover steak into the air fryer basket and spray the top with olive oil to prevent it drying out.
  3. Air fry leftover steak for 6 minutes at 160c/320f, turning it half way through and then spraying again with olive oil.

Notes

  • Reheating time may vary depending on air fryer brand and model; adjust accordingly.
  • Use moderate temperature (160°C/320°F) to avoid drying steak.
  • Spray olive oil on steak to help retain moisture during reheating.
  • For steak chunks, cook about 4 minutes per side instead of 6 minutes total.
  • This method works best with steaks that were cooked to your liking before reheating.
