Reindeer Chow
Description
This recipe blends Corn Chex, Rice Chex, and Honey Nut Cheerios, which are coated by a melted mixture of butter, peanut butter, and chocolate chips. After letting the coated mixture rest, it’s tossed in a powdered sugar and cocoa powder blend to create a lightly sweetened, chocolaty coating. The mixture is then cooled before combining with pretzels, mini peanut butter cups, and Christmas-themed M&Ms, adding salty crunch and festive color.
The combination results in a snack mix that offers crunch from the cereals and pretzels, smooth sweetness from chocolate and peanut butter, and bursts of chocolate candy flavor from the added treats. It’s often enjoyed as a casual finger food for gatherings and provides a mix of sweet and salty flavors.
Notes highlight the importance of gentle stirring to avoid breaking the candy pieces and offer tips for freezing the snack in airtight containers for up to three months. Thawing overnight in the refrigerator helps maintain texture before serving again.

Notes
- Stir gently when combining to avoid breaking peanut butter cups and pretzels.
- Store in an airtight container and consume within one week or freeze up to three months.
- To use after freezing, thaw overnight in the refrigerator before serving.
