Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats
Description
Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats combine the familiar chewy, sweet Rice Krispies base with decorative touches that create a playful holiday appearance. The treats begin by melting butter and marshmallows together, then folding in crisped rice cereal to create a sticky, coated mixture. Pressing this into a buttered pan forms a firm base which, after setting, is cut into rectangles. Each piece is then given character with dark chocolate antlers piped from melted chocolate, candy eyeballs stuck on with small dots of chocolate, and red candy noses. The bottoms of the treats are dipped in green candy melts to add color and festivity.
The method involves straightforward melting and mixing followed by a brief assembly with decorative chocolates and candies. These treats are ideal for making ahead, allowing time for the chocolates to set before serving. They offer a combination of soft and crispy textures with sweet marshmallow flavor complemented by the chocolate accents.
