Rice Krispies Trail Mix Bars

Rice Krispies Trail Mix Bars combine butter, peanut butter, melted marshmallows, Rice Krispies cereal, pretzels, raisins, peanuts, and M&M's into a chewy and crunchy snack bar. The marshmallow mixture binds the ingredients together, creating bars with a mixture of sweet, salty, and nutty flavors. This treat is easy to prepare and suitable for snacking or packed lunches.

Description

These Rice Krispies Trail Mix Bars start by melting butter and peanut butter together, creating a creamy base for the bars. Marshmallows are then added and stirred until just starting to melt, forming a sticky mixture that will hold the cereal and mix-ins. Rice Krispies cereal, pretzels, raisins, and peanuts are folded into the marshmallow blend, distributing crunchy, chewy, sweet, and salty components evenly.

Once combined and beginning to cool, plain M&M's are gently folded in to preserve their shape and color. The mixture is pressed into a greased 9x13 baking pan to set, yielding bars that combine the crispy crunch of cereal, salty pretzels and nuts, chewy raisins, and sweet candy in a handheld treat.

These bars work well as a quick snack or convenient lunchbox addition for both kids and adults.
