Roast Potatoes In Air Fryer: Crispy And Spicy

Cooking roast potatoes in an air fryer is the best solution for a busy roast preparation. No more hectic and frustration over the roasties. With the help of an air fryer, you can make the best roasted potatoes. They are crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. All within half an hour.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 35.3 ounces Maris Piper potato Russet or King Edward potatoes.
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder or Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder or Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Scrub and rinse the potatoes. Then cut them into similar sizes (I cut mine in 1.5-inch size). Soak them in plenty of water for at least half an hour.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C/ 355°F.
  3. Drain the potatoes and place them in a mixing bowl.
  4. Sprinkle garam masala, paprika powder, salt and pepper over the potatoes.
  5. Then drizzle the olive oil over.
  6. Toss and stir the potatoes until all is coated well with spices and oil.
  7. Place the spud in the air fryer basket. And cook for about 25-30 minutes until the potatoes are cooked and golden brown. Check occasionally to flip the potatoes every now and again.

Notes

  • Start cutting the potatoes from the smallest one to decide the size you want your potatoes to be cut. Try your best to cut them into the same size so they cook evenly.
  • Use Kashmiri red chilli powder if you like a bit of kick taste in your potatoes. And choose paprika powder if you prefer a mild taste.
