                                Ingredients
Oven Roasted Cajun Turkey
- 14 lb Jennie-O Oven Ready Cajun Style Turkey
 
Roasted Cajun Mashed Potatoes
- 3 lbs Russet potatoes peeled & cubed
 - 6 cloves garlic
 - ¼ cup olive oil
 - 1 tsp black pepper
 - 1 tsp kosher salt
 - ½ tsp oregano
 - ½ tsp onion powder
 - 1 tsp paprika
 - ½ tsp cayenne pepper
 - ½ tsp thyme leaves
 - ½ cup butter at room temperature
 - 4 oz cream cheese cubed (at room temperature)
 - 2 cups heavy cream at room temperature
 
Instructions
Oven Roasted Cajun Turkey
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
 - Remove the turkey from the outer packaging.
 - Place in a roasting pan with at least 2 inch high sides.
 - Cut 6 small slits in the cooking bag and pull the bag away from the turkey.
 - Place in the oven for 3 hours 30 minutes - 4 hours, or until a meat thermomember reaches 165°F in the breast and 180°F in the thigh.
 - Let turkey rest 15 minutes in the cooking bag.
 - Cut open the cooking bag, remove the turkey and slice.
 - Prepare the gravy package according to instructions on the package.
 
Roasted Cajun Mashed Potatoes
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
 - Toss the potatoes and garlic with the olive oil, black pepper, kosher salt, oregano, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper and thyme leaves.
 - Spread the potatoes into an even layer on a foil-lined baking sheet.
 - Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until potatoes are fork-tender.
 - Transfer the potatoes to a large mixing bowl, add the butter, cream cheese and heavy cream.
 - Use an electric hand mixture to mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
