Roasted Chicken Drumsticks (Maple Ginger)

This recipe for Roasted Chicken Drumsticks with Maple Ginger marinade delivers chicken with a balanced blend of sweet maple syrup, fresh ginger, garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil. The drumsticks marinate briefly before roasting at high heat to achieve juicy meat with a caramelized glaze and gentle spiced warmth.

Description

The chicken drumsticks are coated in a marinade combining maple syrup, freshly grated ginger, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and cracked black pepper. This mixture provides sweetness, umami, and aromatic qualities. After marinating for about 15 minutes, the drumsticks roast at 425°F on a wire rack over a foil-lined pan.

Roasting at high temperature allows the skin to brown and crisp while the interior reaches a safe 165°F temperature, ensuring juicy, tender meat. The maple syrup caramelizes slightly, infusing the chicken with a pleasant sweetness tempered by the ginger's spice and soy's savoriness.

This preparation suits casual dinners or meal prep and pairs well with steamed vegetables, rice, or roasted sides. The short marinating time keeps the recipe approachable for weeknight cooking without compromising flavor.
