Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a 9x9 inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray and set aside. to your liking.
- Whisk the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt together in a small bowl and set aside.
- Slice each of the peaches in half then remove the pits. Place the peaches, cut side up, in the greased baking pan and spoon the brown sugar mixture evenly into each of the cavities.
- Gently press down then place a tablespoon of butter on top of each peach. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the peaches are tender.
- Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
Notes
- Choose ripe peaches. Look for peaches that are ripe but still slightly firm. Overly ripe peaches might become mushy during baking, and you don't want that to happen!
- Halve and pit your peaches. Cut the peaches in half along the natural seam and gently twist them apart. Carefully remove the pits using a spoon or a knife and discard them.
- Don't over bake your peaches. Roasting time can vary depending on the size and ripeness of the peaches. Really large, less ripe peaches will take longer, while smaller, softer peaches will take less time. Check them after 10 minutes, and if they are fork tender and caramelized, they're ready!
- Serving suggestions: I love to enjoy my roasted peaches with a sprinkle of roasted pecans on top if I'm keeping it simple, or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a truly delicious dessert! You could also top them with whipped cream or a dollop of Greek yogurt. And they of course taste incredible with no toppings at all!
- Use your roasted peaches as a topping for pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, etc.
- Make Grilled Peaches by heating your grill to medium heat. Add the peaches, cut side down, and grill until caramelized and tender, about 3-4 minutes. Flip and grill on the other side for 3-4 minutes. You can add the toppings right after the peaches come off the grill.
- Make Air Fryer Peaches by placing peaches cut side up in an air fryer that has been preheated to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Roast for 5 minutes, then flip and top each peach cavity with the brown sugar mixture and butter. Roast for an additional 5 minutes.
- Store any leftover peaches in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
