Roasted Snapper Fillet
Description
The recipe starts by preheating the oven to 450°F and preparing snapper fillets by rinsing and drying them thoroughly. Each fillet is rubbed with olive oil and seasoned with kosher salt, black pepper, minced garlic, and fresh rosemary or oregano. They are placed skin-side down on a foil-lined broiler rack lightly sprayed with oil. Breadcrumbs seasoned with Italian herbs are sprinkled on top, then drizzled with additional olive oil before baking.
The fish bakes for about 15 to 20 minutes, developing a crisp breadcrumb crust while the fillet inside remains moist and flaky. The use of fresh herbs and garlic infuses the fish with fragrant notes that complement its natural flavor. Serving with lemon wedges adds a fresh acidity that balances the dish.
This fillet preparation is straightforward and suitable for a simple baked fish entrée. The crisp topping contrasts with the tender flesh, making it appealing for a variety of meals.
