Description
To prepare Rolo Pretzels, square pretzel snaps are arranged on a baking sheet with unwrapped Rolo candies placed on top. Baking at a moderate temperature softens the caramel chocolate just enough to become pliable without losing shape. Once removed from the oven, pressing an M&M candy onto each warm Rolo creates a visually appealing and textural contrast. The snack balances salty crunch from the pretzel with sweet, chewy caramel and smooth chocolate. These treats can be customized with any type or color of M&Ms.
Rolo Pretzels are convenient for parties or snacks and can be made in quantities matching your candy supply. After assembly, they store well in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freezing is recommended by flash freezing on a tray and then transferring to a freezer-safe bag; thaw before serving.
Ingredients
- 1 bag pretzel snaps (the square pretzels)
- 1 bag Rolos
- 1 bag M&Ms, any type or color
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place pretzel snaps on your sheet. Place unwrapped Rolos on each one.
- Bake for 3-5 minutes until just a tad melted and still in shape.
- Take them out of the oven. While warm, place M&Ms on top. Let set.
Notes
- Make as many Rolo Pretzels as desired based on available candy quantities.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 5 to 7 days.
- For longer storage, flash freeze on a tray for 30–60 minutes, then transfer to a freezer-safe bag for up to 2 months.
