Root Beer Float Pie
Description
Root Beer Float Pie uses instant vanilla pudding mix blended with root beer, milk, and root beer extract to create a root beer-flavored filling. After folding in Cool Whip, the mixture is poured into a prepared graham cracker crust and frozen, allowing it to set overnight into a creamy, chilled dessert similar to a frozen mousse. The graham cracker crust adds a subtle crunch that balances the soft filling well.
The flavor captures the nostalgic taste of a root beer float, enhanced by the garnish of whipped cream and cherries, which add a creamy and tart contrast. Crushed root beer barrel candies sprinkled on top contribute a slight crunch and reinforce the root beer theme.
This pie should be kept frozen until serving to maintain its shape and texture. It is sliced and served cold, making it a refreshing dessert for warm weather or casual gatherings.
