Sausage and Biscuit Casserole

  • 12 ounces breakfast sausage casings removed
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 2 ½ cups milk whole
  • ½ cup whipping cream
  • 1 Pillsbury Grand Biscuits tube

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 9x13 inch pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together ¼ cup all-purpose flour, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder, and ½ teaspoon black pepper.
  3. Add the 12 ounces breakfast sausage casings removed to a skillet over medium-high heat, cook and crumble until no longer pink. Add the 2 tablespoons unsalted butter to the pan and melt. Whisk in the flour mixture and stir until coated.
  4. Slowly add the 2 ½ cups whole milk and ½ cup whipping cream. Reduce the heat to low and simmer until the gravy has thickened.
  5. Pour the gravy into the bottom of the prepared pan. Add the 1 tube Pillsbury Grand Biscuits* on top of the sausage and gravy mixture and bake for 20-30 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
