Sausage White Bean and Kale Skillet
Description
The Sausage White Bean and Kale Skillet is centered on Italian pork sausages seared until browned for texture and flavor. The tomato sauce base is brightened with fresh garlic, oregano, basil, and seasoned with salt and pepper, then combined with drained white beans and large handfuls of kale. Tossing the kale in the tomato sauce before baking helps it soften and absorb flavors without becoming overly wilted. The entire skillet is then baked to cook the sausages through and meld the ingredients. This approach results in a meal that balances savory meat, creamy beans, and slightly tender greens in a rich tomato sauce.
The skillet can be served directly from the pan, offering a rustic presentation and a hearty portion. This dish suits a casual dinner and pairs well with crusty bread or a simple side salad to complement the rich and savory flavors.
