  • 1 lb ground beef extra lean, 454 gr
  • 1 medium onion yellow, finely chopped
  • 2 medium garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup red wine dry
  • 1 cup beef broth I use OXO Beef, 2 small packages (4.5 g each) per 1 cup water
  • 2 medium carrot peeled and chopped into small pieces (around 5 cm
  • 1 cup pea fresh, canned or frozen
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Potatoes:

  • 4 large russet potato peeled and cut into quarters
  • 2 medium bay leaf dried, optional
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp butter unsalted
  • 1/2 cup milk whole
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper fresh ground
