Shells Shrimp and Garlic Pasta

This pasta dish features linguine combined with sautéed shrimp in a garlic-infused cream sauce balanced by white wine and a touch of soy sauce. The sauce begins somewhat loose but thickens as it sets, coating the pasta with a rich, flavorful finish. The buttery and garlicky notes complement the tender shrimp, creating a filling meal best served immediately.

Description

Shells Shrimp and Garlic Pasta brings together pasta cooked nearly to al dente with shrimp sautéed in a sauce of olive oil, white wine, heavy cream, and crushed garlic. The addition of soy sauce adds a subtle umami element without overpowering the dish. Butter is used in the pasta cooking water, helping enrich the texture, while salt and pepper season the dish to taste.

The method involves gently cooking the shrimp in the creamy sauce, then tossing with fully cooked linguine to finish cooking both elements together. Though initially runny, the sauce sets into a pleasing consistency as it rests briefly before serving.

Serve the pasta promptly to enjoy the sauce’s creamy texture and the tender shrimp. It pairs well with a simple side salad or steamed vegetables. Adjust seasoning to balance the garlic and soy flavors without letting either dominate.
