Short Rib Naan Pizza

This Short Rib Naan Pizza is a delicious combination of beef short ribs, cheesy bechamel, and fresh naan.

Ingredients

Servings

Pizza

  • 1 cup béchamel sauce
  • 4 Naan
  • 4 short ribs shredded, braised
  • 1 cup red onion
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 8 oz. goat cheese crumbled
  • 2 cups arugula

Béchamel Sauce

  • 1 quart milk whole
  • ¼ lb butter unsalted
  • ¼ lb all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese shredded, 4 ounces
  • ½ cup parmesan

Instructions

Pizza

  1. In a skillet saute the red onions with the brown sugar until the onions are soft and slightly browned.
  2. Add 1/4 a cup of béchamel to each piece of naan. (recipe below)
  3. Evenly divide the short ribs meat and onions between the naan.
  4. Place in the oven and bake for 7-10 minutes or until naan begins to brown and crisp.
  5. Remove from oven and top with goat cheese crumble and arugula.

Béchamel Sauce

  1. In a pot bring the milk to a slow simmer.
  2. In a second pot add the butter and melt it over a medium-high heat.
  3. Once the butter is melted add flour and stir to make the roux.
  4. While whisking slowly add the milk to the roux.
  5. Add the mozzarella cheese and the Parmesan continuing to stir until it the mixture becomes thick.
  6. Remove from heat.

Notes

  • You will have extra sauce! Store in an airtight container and toss with pasta for a weeknight dinner.
