Shredded Brussel Sprout Salad

This Shredded Brussel Sprout Salad combines finely shredded Brussels sprouts with cooked, cubed bacon and a creamy dressing made from mayonnaise, parmesan, garlic, mustard, balsamic vinegar, and seasonings. The salad is tossed and chilled to meld flavors, offering a mix of crunchy, smoky, and tangy elements that make it satisfying and fresh.

Description

The base of the salad is shredded Brussels sprouts mixed with olive oil and crispy cooked bacon cubes or pancetta. The dressing blends mayonnaise, freshly grated parmesan cheese, yellow mustard, minced garlic, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper for a savory, creamy coating.

After tossing the salad with the dressing, it is recommended to chill it for 30-60 minutes to allow the flavors to develop. The result is a crisp texture from raw sprouts balanced with smoky bacon bits and a tangy, cheesy dressing featuring subtle acidity from the balsamic vinegar.

The salad can be served chilled or, if preferred, at room temperature after sitting for 15 minutes post-dressing. Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consumed within 1-2 days to maintain freshness and texture.
