Shrimp Boil

Shrimp Boil combines tender baby potatoes, corn on the cob, smoked andouille sausage, and peeled shrimp, all baked together with a garlic butter and Old Bay seasoning mixture. The result is a hearty and flavorful dish that blends the sweetness of corn with the spice of sausage and the freshness of shrimp. Finishing with fresh herbs and lemon wedges adds brightness, making it a satisfying meal for gatherings or casual dinners.

Description

Shrimp Boil brings together cooked baby potatoes, corn, smoked andouille sausage, and shrimp coated with a rich mixture of melted butter, olive oil, garlic, and Old Bay seasoning. After boiling the potatoes, onion, and corn, everything is arranged on a baking sheet and baked until the shrimp are opaque and the corn is tender. A final broil gives the dish crisp edges. The dish is then dressed with additional garlic butter and garnished with cracked black pepper, fresh parsley, green onions, and lemon wedges for added brightness. The combination of seafood, smoked sausage, and seasoned vegetables offers a balanced texture and flavor profile.

The shrimp boil is meant to be served family-style with lemon wedges and extra Old Bay seasoning available for seasoning at the table. This makes it a communal dish that can accommodate different taste preferences. The garlic butter drizzle ensures the seafood and vegetables remain moist and flavorful.

For best flavor, drizzle the hot shrimp boil with garlic butter and fresh lemon juice immediately after baking. Deveining shrimp before cooking can improve each bite's texture and enjoyment.
