Shrimp Tomato Pasta

Shrimp Tomato Pasta combines spaghetti with shrimp cooked in a fresh tomato sauce made with butter, onion, garlic, and diced tomatoes, accented by lemon juice, zest, and fresh parsley. The shrimp are pan-seared with seasoning before being integrated into a buttery, lightly spiced sauce. This pasta dish offers bright, savory flavors with a balance of citrus and mild heat from red pepper flakes.

Description

This recipe blends a classic pasta base of spaghetti with a flavorful shrimp and tomato sauce. The sauce starts by sautéing onion and a generous amount of garlic in butter, providing a rich foundation. Diced tomatoes and red pepper flakes add acidity and gentle heat. The shrimp are seasoned and cooked separately before returning to the pan to finish cooking gently with the sauce, allowing their flavor to meld without becoming rubbery.

Lemon zest and juice add a refreshing brightness that lifts the rich tomato and butter flavors. Fresh parsley finishes the dish visually and provides a fresh herbal contrast. The final pasta is tossed with some cooking water to help the sauce coat the strands evenly.

The dish serves as a hearty yet light meal combining seafood and pasta, ideal for casual dinners or lunch. It pairs nicely with a simple green salad or garlic bread.
