Skinny Chocolate Cake Recipe

This Skinny Chocolate Cake uses a boxed chocolate cake mix combined with Greek yogurt and water for a moist, lighter-texture cake. The accompanying frosting blends sugar-free chocolate pudding mix with skim milk, vanilla, and fat-free whipped topping to create a lighter yet creamy topping. Mini chocolate chips add optional texture and flavor on top.

Description

The recipe streams together a ready-made chocolate cake mix with Greek yogurt and water, which when baked yields a tender cake with added moisture from the yogurt. Baking in a sprayed 13x10 inch pan, the cake requires moderate baking time and cools fully before frosting.

The frosting mixes instant sugar-free chocolate pudding with skim milk and vanilla until thickened, then folds in fat-free whipped topping for light creaminess. As a finishing touch, mini chocolate chips sprinkled on top provide small bursts of chocolate texture.

This cake serves as a dessert choice that reduces some traditional fat and sugar, balancing indulgence with lighter ingredients. It can be served as a simple chocolate dessert at gatherings or for casual treats.
