Slimming World Sausage Rolls In Air Fryer
Description
The recipe starts by shaping whole wheat wraps into rectangles brushed with egg wash to prepare them for wrapping. Lean pork mince is mixed with dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, then formed into a large meatball and layered onto the wrap. The wrap is rolled into a sausage roll shape, secured with cocktail sticks, and brushed again with egg wash to promote browning. Cooking in the air fryer at 200°C (400°F) for 8 minutes crisps the pastry and cooks the filling through.
The resulting snack is filling and has a stretchier texture from the WW wrap, offering a different experience from traditional puff pastry sausage rolls. The recipe notes that the sausage rolls can be served whole or cut into smaller portions, making them versatile for meals or parties.
Using an air fryer reduces oil use and shortens cooking time compared to oven baking. For frozen sausage rolls, different cooking instructions apply. Lining the air fryer with foil can help keep it clean during cooking.
The recipe yields a satisfying amount that can be kept refrigerated for multiple servings.
