Slow Cooker Beef And Ale Stew

How to cook the most delicious slow cooker beef and ale stew. This pub classic has been updated for the slow cooker and features the most amazing Yorkshire ale.

Ingredients

  • 900 g Beef Stewing Meat cubed
  • 2 330 ml ale
  • 1 white onion large
  • 2 celery sticks
  • 4 carrot medium
  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp tomato puree or tomato paste
  • 1 Tsp Garlic puree
  • 1 Tbsp bouquet garni dried
  • 1 Tbsp parsley dried
  • 1 Tbsp thyme dried
  • mashed potatoes prepared in Ninja Foodi
  • salt
  • black pepper

Instructions

  1. Put the Ninja Foodi on sauté and add the oil and the beef. Sauté for about 5 minutes or until the beef is browned on all sides.
  2. Add all the seasonings and then the 2 cans of ale and then stir. Cancel the sauté.
  3. Peel and dice the onion and carrot and clean and slice the celery.
  4. Add the veggies and all the other ingredients into the slow cooker, stir and then place the lid down. Slow cook for 4 hours on high or 7 hours on low.
  5. Stir the slow cooked steak and ale stew and add some peas if you want to feed more people.
  6. Then serve with mashed potatoes.

Notes

  • Bacon. If you would like to add bacon, then you can do so when you add the beef to the slow cooker.
