slow cooker ground beef and cheese pasta
Description
Slow cooker ground beef and cheese pasta starts by browning the ground beef, then layering it with sautéed onion and garlic in a slow cooker. Adding marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and water provides a flavorful cooking liquid. Cooking on medium heat allows the meat and sauce to meld for four hours.
Afterward, uncooked pasta and cheeses are stirred into the mixture, then cooked in the slow cooker until the pasta is tender and the cheeses melt to create a creamy, cohesive dish. The mozzarella adds stringy melted cheese texture while Parmesan contributes sharpness.
This dish serves well as a comforting dinner or meal prep option with a balance of meat, sauce, pasta, and cheese in one pot, simplifying cleanup and preparation. Serving it warm showcases the melted cheese and tender beef combined with pasta coated in a rich tomato sauce.
