This Hot Buttered Rum is a classic holiday drink you can mix in a slow cooker in minutes and let it simmer all day long!

Ingredients
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 6 whole cloves
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- ½ cup 1 stick salted butter
- 2 quarts water
- 2 cups spiced rum
- Whipped Cream optional
- ground nutmeg optional
Instructions
- Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, brown sugar, butter, water, and rum to the crockpot and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours.
- Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg
Notes
- Low and slow is key to making sure all of the butter melts.
- You can add in vanilla or almond extract for a little extra flavor.
