Description

  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 12 ounces baking chocolate finely chopped, or you can use semi-sweet chocolate chips, semi-sweet
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Add half s of heavy cream and the unsweetened cocoa to the slow cooker. Using a whisk, mix for several minutes until the powder is fully combined.
  2. Add the second half of the heavy cream, milk, sweetened condensed milk, chopped chocolate, and vanilla. Stir until everything is mixed.
  3. Place the slow cooker on low for 2-3 hours. Stir every 20-30 minutes just until the chocolate is melted and fully combined.
  4. Keep on the warm setting for up to 3 hours for serving and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust thickness by stirring in 1/4 to 1/2 cup milk at a time if the hot chocolate becomes too thick during cooking.
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips can replace baking chocolate for convenience; use semi-sweet for best results.
  • Do not cook on high in the slow cooker to avoid cream separation; low heat is essential.
