  • 1 cup  root beer
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper coarse ground
  • 8 Hamburger Bun split in half and warmed

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in slow cooker.
  2. Whisk root beer, barbecue sauce, salt and pepper together in a bowl.
  3. Pour over the chicken.
  4. Cook, covered, on low heat for 4-5 hours or until chicken is tender.
  5. Remove chicken; cool slightly.
  6. Shred chicken with 2 forks and return to slow cooker.
  7. Serve on buns.
