This slow cooker shredded bbq chicken recipe is packed with flavor and super easy to make. It results in tender, fall-apart chicken that's perfect for sandwiches, wraps, tacos, salads and more.

Ingredients
- 1.25-1.5 lb boneless skinless chicken breast
- ½ medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 ounce can tomato sauce
- 2 Tablespoons tomato paste
- ¼ cup brown sugar or coconut sugar
- 1 ½ Tablespoons molasses*
- 2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons tamari, soy sauce or coconut aminos
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon ground pepper
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to the slow cooker.
- Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
- Shred chicken, toss back in slow cooker and combine.
- Serve on burger buns with slaw. Drizzle extra sauce on if desired.
Notes
- Don't have molasses? You can sub it for maple syrup or honey or just skip it all together!
