Slow Cooker S'mores Brownie Pie
Description
This Slow Cooker S'mores Brownie Pie begins by preparing a crust from graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar pressed into the bottom of a slow cooker lined with parchment and sprayed to prevent sticking. The brownie batter consists of melted butter combined with semi-sweet chocolate chips, sugar, eggs, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. The batter is mixed until smooth and folded with remaining chocolate chips before spreading over the crust.
The slow cooker gently bakes the layered dessert, allowing a fudgy and moist brownie texture to develop atop the crunchy graham base. The pie is topped with broken Hershey's bars and a layer of marshmallows to mimic traditional s'mores. The marshmallows toast and melt into a gooey layer while the chocolate topping softens, creating a rich and nostalgic flavor combination.
This dessert offers a no-oven option for chocolate lovers seeking a sweet, layered treat with familiar campfire s'mores ingredients. Dark chocolate can be substituted for a deeper flavor, better suited for adult preferences. The use of mini or regular-sized marshmallows changes the topping texture slightly. Leftover pie stores well at room temperature in airtight containers and can be gently reheated by warming along with a cold oven to prevent dryness.
Using dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet chips creates a richer, more intense flavor suited for adults.Regular-sized marshmallows can replace mini ones by using about 40 marshmallows instead of the 10 oz bag of mini marshmallows.Store the finished pie in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days to maintain freshness. To reheat, place the pie in a cold oven and allow it to warm gradually as the oven preheats, which prevents drying out.
