Slow Cooker Winter Sangria - An Easy recipe for Entertaining

This Slow Cooker Winter Sangria combines red wine, pomegranate juice, brandy, triple sec, cinnamon sticks, and diced winter fruits simmered gently to blend seasonal flavors. The mixture infuses spices and fruit sweetness into the wine for a warm, festive beverage. Adding orange slices just before serving preserves fresh citrus flavors without bitterness. The result is a smooth, aromatic sangria suited to cold weather entertaining.

Description

Slow Cooker Winter Sangria features a blend of Malbec red wine, pomegranate juice, brandy, triple sec, and sweetener, poured into a slow cooker with cinnamon sticks and diced pear and apple. The ingredients warm slowly over low heat, allowing fruit flavors and spices to meld without boiling. The diced pears and apples contribute subtle sweetness and texture, while cinnamon adds warming spice notes. Orange slices are added last just before serving to maintain their fresh aroma and prevent bitter tastes from developing from the pith.

This sangria offers a warmly spiced, fruit-forward drink ideal for winter gatherings and holiday entertaining. The slow cooker keeps it heated and flavorful throughout service. This recipe showcases how melding wine with winter fruits and spices creates a seasonal twist on classic sangria.

Serving tips include ladling the warm sangria into mugs or heatproof glasses, optionally garnished with additional citrus slices or cinnamon sticks. Its gentle simmering ensures the alcohol melds well, creating a mellow, cozy beverage.
