Description
The S'mores Bars begin with preparing a graham cracker cookie dough by creaming softened butter with brown and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, then adding egg and yolk with vanilla extract. Dry ingredients including graham cracker crumbs, flour, baking soda, and salt are stirred in to form a dough. Half of this dough is pressed into the bottom of an 8x8-inch baking pan to create the base.

Ingredients
Graham Cracker Cookie Dough:
- 3/4 cup butter 1 1/2 sticks, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2/3 cup sugar

- 1 1/3 cups graham cracker crumbs from about 1 full package
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
Marshmallow and Chocolate Topping:
- 1 - 7- ounce marshmallow cream jar
- 8 ounces milk chocolate bars
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- In a large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and sugar for 3 minutes or until light and fluffy.
- Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla and mix together.
- Stir in graham cracker crumbs, flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Press 1/2 of graham cracker cookie dough in 8 x 8-inch pan.
- Cover graham cracker with chocolate bars.
- Spread marshmallow cream over chocolate bars, completely covering.
- Lightly press the remaining 1/2 of graham cracker cookie dough on top of marshmallow cream.
- Bake for 26-30 minutes or until golden.
- Let cool.
- Tip: For ease of cutting, place in freezer for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
- Cut into slices and serve. The marshmallow cream and chocolate is melty so it may run. Freezing helps solidify chocolate and marshmallow. Leave at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving.
