S'mores Brownies
Description
The recipe begins by pressing a mixture of finely crushed graham crackers and melted butter firmly into an 8x8 baking pan, creating a sturdy crust. After chilling to set, the brownie batter—made by melting semi-sweet chocolate with butter and combining with sugar, eggs, and flour—is poured over the crust and baked until a toothpick comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.
Once cooled briefly, mini marshmallows top the brownies and are quickly broiled until toasted to golden perfection. This step adds a soft, gooey layer with a lightly crisped exterior, evoking the traditional s'mores flavor and texture combination.
The brownies should be cooled before slicing to maintain shape, and the overall treat delivers a combination of crunchy base, dense chocolate middle, and melted marshmallow topping that captures the essence of s'mores within a portable dessert form.
