S'mores Dip
Description
S'mores Dip features milk chocolate chips melted in an oven-safe skillet until smooth, then topped with a single layer of large marshmallows that brown lightly under the oven's heat. This creates a velvety chocolate layer beneath a toasted sweet topping. Instead of assembling individual s'mores, this dip offers an easy way to enjoy the flavors by scooping melted chocolate and marshmallow with graham crackers, cookies, or fresh fruit. The use of high-quality chocolate like Ghirardelli or Guittard ensures good melting and taste. Arranging the marshmallows in a circular pattern promotes even browning and a visually appealing finish. The dish is best served immediately while warm and gooey for dipping.
Ingredients
- 1 bag milk chocolate chips I recommend Guittard or Ghirardelli, Nestle does not melt well
- 1 bag marshmallows large
- graham crackers for serving
- cookies
- Fruit
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Pour the chocolate chips into an 8 or 9 inch skillet.
- Bake for 3-4 minutes or until chocolate is melted.
- Arrange the marshmallows over the top of the chocolate chips.
- Bake for 2-3 minutes or marshmallows are browned.
- Serve immediately with graham crackers, cookies and fruit for dipping.
Notes
- Use a high-quality milk chocolate chip such as Ghirardelli or Guittard for best melting and flavor; avoid Nestle chips as they do not melt well.
- Ensure the skillet or dish used is oven safe; substitute with a similarly sized baking dish if necessary.
- Arrange marshmallows in a single, even circular layer to promote uniform browning on top.
