Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup butter room temperature
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar light
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 egg
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 apple peeled and diced, use Granny Smith
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the salt, baking powder, and flour. Set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, and cinnamon until combined.
  4. Add in the eggs and vanilla.
  5. Slowly alternate adding the flour mixture and milk into the butter mixture until all has been combined.
  6. Fold in the apples.
  7. Grease 4 mini loaf pans or 1 large loaf pan and evenly distribute the batter into prepared pans.
  8. In a small bowl, combine the 2 tablespoon sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
  9. Sprinkle mixture evenly on top of the batter.
  10. Place in preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes if using mini pans or about 55-65 minutes if using large loaf pan.
  11. Remove from oven once baked and allow to cool for about 5 minutes prior to removing from pans.
