Ingredients
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats not quick cooking
- 1/4 cup almond milk sweetened; any milk will work
- 1/3 cup yogurt plain, Greek
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup plus more to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch ground turmeric optional
- 1 apple cored and chopped
- 1 date pitted; optional
- lemon juice fresh, squeeze of
- kosher salt small pinch
- 6– 8 ice cubes
Toppings: roasted pumpkin seeds, roasted sunflower seeds, coconut, chopped apple, and additional maple syrup drizzled over.
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. The texture should be thick enough to eat with a spoon. Adjust flavors by adding more maple syrup or lemon juice.
- Pour smoothie into a bowl, and add toppings to taste. Enjoy immediately!
