Spiced Fruit Bake Dessert Recipe
Description
The Spiced Fruit Bake Dessert Recipe blends sliced apples and pears coated with lemon juice and warm spices — cinnamon and nutmeg — to enrich the fruit flavors and prevent browning. Grapes, cranberries, and pecans add burst and crunch. A dressing made from fresh orange juice, maple syrup, and coconut oil brings moisture, subtle citrus brightness, and richness to the collection of fruits.
Baked at a moderate temperature for an hour, the fruits soften and their flavors meld. The topping of extra cinnamon adds an inviting aroma and taste as the dessert comes out warm from the oven. This bake offers a balance of juicy fruit textures and nutty contrasts from the pecans, alongside a warm spiced backdrop.
Best served warm, the dessert can be enjoyed alone or with accompaniments like yogurt or cream to add a cool complement to its sweetness and spice.
Ingredients
- 3 Large apple cored and sliced, of choice
- 3 pear cored and sliced
- 1/2 lemon juiced
- 1 Tsp ground cinnamon (extra for topping)
- ¼ Tsp ground nutmeg
- ½ cup pecans
- 2 Cups grapes
- 1½ Cups cranberries fresh
- ⅓ Cup maple syrup
- 1 orange Juiced
- ½ Tbsp orange zest
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300F and grease a baking dish with a bit of coconut oil.
- Combine apples and pears to a large mixing bowl. Add lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and toss the fruits well with a wooden spoon to coat with the juice. Adding lemon juice will enhance the taste of fruits and prevent them from browning.
- Transfer the fruits to your prepared baking dish and add in grapes, pecans, and cranberries.
- In another mixing bowl, whisk fresh orange juice, maple syrup, and coconut oil. Pour the dressing over the fruits and toss well to combine.
- Bake into the preheated oven for 1 hour. Once the fruits are done, remove from the oven and let cool at room temperature.
- Sprinkle with some more cinnamon if desired, serve warm and enjoy.
