Spicy chicken burgers

Juicy chicken burgers with spicy piquanté peppers and herbs served on toasted buns is a family classic turned up a notch.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 500 g ground chicken
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs fresh
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup peppers finely chopped, PEPPADEW® sweet piquanté hot whole variety
  • ¼ cup basil finely chopped, fresh
  • ¼ cup parsley finely chopped, fresh
  • tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

For the burgers

  • 4 burger buns split and toasted
  • cheese slices
  • lettuce fresh
  • mayonnaise
  • peppers for topping, PEPPADEW® sweet piquanté hot whole variety

Instructions

  1. Combine the burger patty ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. 
  2. Form 4 burger patties and place in the refrigerator to chill for 20 minutes. 
  3. Cook the burger patties in a large, non-stick frying pan until golden brown on both sides and cooked through. 
  4. Assemble the burgers by slathering the burger buns generously with mayonnaise and topping with lettuce, cheese and PEPPADEW® Sweet Piquanté Peppers Hot Whole.
  5. Serve immediately.
