Spinach and Artichoke Quiche
Description
This quiche begins with a frozen pie crust baked filled with a blend of beaten eggs and milk or cream, along with sharp cheddar and Parmesan cheeses for depth and meltiness. Canned artichoke hearts are drained and chopped to add slightly tangy, tender vegetable flavor, while frozen spinach is thoroughly drained and chopped to prevent sogginess. Salt and fresh cracked black pepper season the filling.
The quiche bakes at 400°F until the filling is firm and lightly browned at the top, indicating doneness. The texture is creamy and rich from the eggs and cheeses, balanced by the earthiness of spinach and the mild tang from artichokes. This dish is versatile for a variety of meals and serves well warm or at room temperature.
Ingredients
- 1 pie crust do not thaw, frozen
- 5 large egg
- 1 cup milk or use half and half, or cream
