Starbucks Gingerbread Loaf

This Starbucks Gingerbread Loaf blends warm spices like ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg into a moist loaf sweetened with sugar and applesauce. The batter includes butter, egg, and vanilla for richness, while chopped pecans add texture. After baking, the loaf is cooled and topped with a creamy vanilla cream cheese frosting that balances the spices and sweetness for a comforting treat.

Description

The Starbucks Gingerbread Loaf combines classic gingerbread spices—ground ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg—with a batter of butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, and applesauce for moisture and sweetness. Flour and baking soda provide structure and leavening. The batter is mixed until combined then poured into a greased loaf pan and baked at 350°F for about 55 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

The result is a fragrant, moist loaf with the characteristic warmth of gingerbread spices. The chopped pecans add a subtle crunch. After cooling, a frosting made from room temperature cream cheese, vanilla, and powdered sugar is whipped until smooth and creamy, then spread on top, bringing a tangy sweetness to complement the spices and cake texture.

This loaf works well as a seasonal dessert or snack, enjoyed sliced as is or with tea or coffee. Cooling the loaf before frosting is important to prevent melting the frosting. The recipe balances spice, sweet, and creamy elements to evoke the well-known Starbucks gingerbread flavor.
