Sticky Honey soy pork chops

These Sticky Honey Soy Pork Chops combine thick pork chops seared until golden with a glaze made from soy sauce, honey, ginger, garlic, chili flakes, and lemon juice. The cooking method creates a sticky, shiny coating that balances sweet, salty, spicy, and citrus notes. The pork stays juicy inside while carrying a richly flavored glaze.

Description

Starting with thick pork chops patted dry and seasoned, they are cooked over high heat to brown the outsides evenly, including the fat caps. This forms a flavorful crust. The sauce combines soy sauce, honey, freshly grated ginger, minced garlic, chili flakes for heat, and fresh lemon juice to add acidity and balance sweetness. Simmering the sauce concentrates flavors and thickens it until it coats the back of a spoon.

The pork chops are returned to the pan and basted repeatedly with the sticky glaze until fully coated and glossy. This finishing step intensifies flavor and gives a pleasant sticky texture on the surface. The result is juicy pork with a flavorful crust highlighted by an Asian-inspired, balanced sweet and savory sauce with a touch of heat and brightness.

These chops can be served alongside steamed vegetables, rice, or noodles to complement the sweet and savory flavors.
