Strawberry Cheesecake Dip
Description
This Strawberry Cheesecake Dip blends softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth, providing the creamy base. Freshly whipped cream made from heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla is folded into the cream cheese mixture to lighten and aerate it. Mashed and diced strawberries add bursts of fresh fruit flavor without excess liquid. The dip’s texture is creamy yet fluffy, balancing richness and freshness. Serving with graham crackers complements the creamy dip with a crunchy, subtly sweet contrast. It is best consumed the day it’s made to enjoy the whipped cream at its peak texture.
Ingredients
Whipped Cream:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 /3 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 /2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 ounces cream cheese , softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 /2 cup strawberries about 3/4 cup whole, mashed
- 3/4 /4 cup strawberry diced
- graham crackers for dipping
Instructions
- For the Whipped Cream: Place cream and 1/3 cup powdered sugar in a chilled mixing bowl and mix on high for 1-2 minutes. Add the vanilla and beat for an additional 1-2 minutes or until soft peaks have formed. Yields about 2 cups. Set aside.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together the cream cheese and 1 cup powdered sugar until smooth.
- Blend in the 1/2 cup mashed strawberries (just the strawberries - don't add the juice caused by mashing them).
- Fold in the whipped cream and 3/4 cup diced strawberries.
- Serve with graham crackers.
Notes
- Use fresh whipped cream for the best flavor and texture; substitute with Cool Whip if preferred, though fresh is recommended.
- Consume the dip within one day as the whipped cream will begin to lose volume over time.
