  • 4 cups strawberry hulled and quartered, fresh
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter melted, unsalted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine strawberries and 1/2 cup sugar. Let sit for 15 minutes, until berries release their juices.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining 1/4 cup sugar.
  4. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Spoon the strawberries and their juices over the batter.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until the berries are bubbling.
  7. Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
