Strawberry Shortcake Trifle Recipe

Strawberry Shortcake Trifle layers cubed angel food cake, sliced strawberries, and a creamy mixture of white chocolate pudding and whipped cream. This dessert offers light, airy cake combined with fresh fruit and a smooth, sweet cream, assembled in layers for a visually appealing and refreshing treat.

Description

This trifle uses angel food cake cut into cubes, which provides a light, spongy base with a subtle sweetness. Fresh strawberries are sliced to add bright, juicy fruitiness throughout the layers. The cream mixture is made by preparing white chocolate instant pudding as directed, then folding in whipped cream to create a smooth and airy texture that blends the flavors with mild sweetness.

The trifle is assembled in layers: starting with half the cream mixture, then half the angel food cake cubes, followed by half of the sliced strawberries. A second layer follows the same sequence, finishing with a strawberry on top for garnish. Some recipes layer in thirds rather than halves to allow more layers and distribute flavors evenly. The combination results in a multi-textured dessert with airy cake, juicy berries, and delicate cream.
