Sugar Cookie Fudge
Description
Sugar Cookie Fudge uses a mix of sweetened condensed milk and sugar cookie mix heated gently with white chocolate chips, butter, and vanilla extract until smooth and thick. The mixture becomes dense and creamy, requiring refrigeration to set properly. Sprinkles stirred in add color and light crunch, though other additions like nuts or dried fruits are possible. The fudge sets in an 8x8 or 9x9 inch pan lined with parchment paper and chilled for several hours before cutting into squares.
The final texture is rich and creamy with the sweetness of white chocolate balanced by the dense cookie mix base. This fudge is a rich treat that can make a festive dessert or gift. The recipe’s flexibility invites customization with different toppings or mix-ins, adjusting texture and flavor.
To store, the fudge can be kept at room temperature in an airtight container for up to two weeks, refrigerated for up to a month, or frozen wrapped in parchment paper for up to three months. This versatility allows preparing it ahead and enjoying it over time.
Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups white chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup sugar cookie mix
- 1-2 tablespoons butter
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons Sprinkles
Instructions
- In a saucepan, over medium low heat, add sweetened condensed milk. Once hot, but NOT boiling, add sugar cookie mix and stir.
- Next, add white chocolate chips, butter and vanilla to the same pot, still over medium low heat.
- Heat until totally melted and smooth, continue to stir frequently. If needed, to smooth mixture, add another tablespoon of butter. I always do. This mixture will be thick.
- If using, pour in half your sprinkles and only stir 1-2 times so your sprinkles don't melt!. If you don't like sprinkles check below in the recipe notes for some other suggestions!
- Line an 8x8 or 9x9 inch square baking dish with parchment paper and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
- Top with sprinkles too, if desired.
- Pour fudge into pan, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, if not 4.
- Once cooled, cut into squares and serve. Enjoy!
Notes
- Store fudge at room temperature for up to two weeks in an airtight container or refrigerate up to one month.
- For longer storage, freeze portioned fudge wrapped in parchment in airtight containers for up to three months.
- Sprinkles can be replaced with chopped nuts, dried fruits, marshmallows, cereals, broken pretzels, M&M's, toffee bits, chocolate or caramel chips, candies, or other mix-ins to customize flavor and texture.
